-(으)시겠어요? is used when politely suggesting something to the listener or when asking about the listener’s preference or intention.
It corresponds to ‘Would you (mind/like to)…?’ or ‘Why not…?’ in English and conveys much more formal and polite feeling than -(으)ㄹ래요?/-(으)실래요?

만나다 → 만나시겠어요?

A: 마리오가 오랜만에 해외에서 돌아왔는데 이번 주말에 만나시겠어요? Mario is back from overseas after a long time, so would you like to meet him this weekend?
B: 당연하죠! Of course!
앉다 → 앉으시겠어요?
Would you like to sit?
A: 자리 있나요? Is there a seat?
